Once again, Suezanne M. Thibodeau, CHES, has teamed up with Shawnee Mission Medical Center to offer 2-hour Dogs&Storks and Puzzle Pooch workshops as part of the Center’s Family Education series. By teaching busy families to understand canine body language and to cope with their dogs’ sensitivities and attention-seeking behaviors, these innovative programs provides practical education during pregnancy and continued support as children grow.

Puzzle Pooch Dog Body Language for Kids: Safety and fun rolled up in one!

Interactions between kids and dogs can be joyous and safe when everyone knows the rules. Our workshops teach kids to understand dog body-language to help them stay safer with dogs - both at home and away.

Workshop includes:

  • Being a responsible caregiver for dogs
  • Recognizing when a dog should be left alone
  • Learning to greet a dog appropriately
  • What to do when a stray dog approaches
  • How to understand dog body-language and communication
  • Giving back to the animals who have given so much to us
